The multicellular organisms were only able to develop after Cosmos had the Ur-Idea of a self-sustaining process of matter, which is able to keep stable an independent macro-entity, which is entangled by many unicellular organisms, if it found sufficient resources in its environment to feed all unicellular organisms it consists of.
